Birthday surprises are often fun and exciting, but that wasn’t the case recently for a Chesterfield boy.

Way to go! This is how it should be! Bullies have to learn that all they accomplish is looking bad! Brody, we’ve got your back!

This is beautiful ❤ What a great outcome for Brody. Shame on the miscreant who stole his stuff on his birthday.

I felt Matt when he said, “I’ve never forgot”.
People with hardened hearts tell you to get over stuff, but you don’t.
I remember my 2 biggest bullies, a teacher I absolutely adored and my mother.
Thanks Matt, for showing up for the little guy.

Bullies NEVER win. Good on everyone who turned this ugly experience around for this young man. Good on his Mom for the Facebook post and on Matt for stepping up to help.

Kids are horrible! Bless this man for his kind heart and for helping out these kids. They will remember this.

I had the most precious golden unicorn necklace stollen from me, it was the last gift my father ever gave me. I was bullied by adults as well as children at school, so I had no help and to this day, I can not count on my mother as she is not safe and enjoys hurting me, so this kid having a supportive mom, that is better than shoes any day.

Now these are the stories that I want to see more often on the news! I’m tired of all the homicide rubbish. The community has once again helped out a student in need! God bless Brody and family!

I think there should be a huge effort to find out where those kids sneakers are and who stole them!! It wouldn’t be difficult to find them..little ones talk.

Matt is definitely the type of man I’m looking for, that’s a great man doing the right thing and being a fantastic role model. I never seem to find a “Matt” of my own 😊

This story is awesome!! That community really cares about one another so glad it had a happy outcome. To the kid who stole the sneakers you should be ashamed of yourself. You don’t take from others I can’t help but wonder how your parents are raising you somethings wrong there. Thank you for sharing your story. It’s a good story and just what I needed on this Sunday morning.😊👍

You are the best kid ever.
The bullies are the ones who lose due to
their wrong choices.
I am praying they will turn their lives around and
treat others with respect.
God Bless you and your family and God Bless the
person who made this all possible.

Some kid stole my coat at the Boys club when I was a child and I had to walk home about a mile in the freezing cold dead of winter. I asked for a ride and nobody would give me one. I asked for anything to cover but again it only fell on deaf ears. I was shivering so much that I could barley even walk home the mile or so. I had to survive the rest of the winter without a coat. My parents didn't have the money to buy me a new coat. I had just gotten that one and it was expensive for us. I thought about stealing someone else's coat but didn't. I latter saw the kid with my coat on but I couldn't prove it. That is the day that I started making everything I owned. My next coat I marked up so I could easily identify it without them knowing.
