I'm Norwegian and we don't wear shoes inside the house in my country either. A lot of other northern european cultures have that tradition too ^^ So many lovely options, but most wouldn't work in Norway. The weather is often snowy and rainy so shoes need to dry on an open, preferably metal, surface. However they would work fantastic for shoes storage in a bedroom!

I am LatinX 2nd generation born here and can tell you when I got divorced I decided to make my household a no shoe space. Being a single mom and having to do all the cleaning and organizing I knew the no shoe home was an option for me. When my Dad visits he has his own pair of slippers when he arrives as so does my daughter and myself. Guests know they need to take their shoes off as well as repair persons. I’m struggling to find one for a kitchen island with low back so it is comfortable for older adults to gather or have breakfast with swivel and performance fabric if coming in from the pool for a snack.
