Nice. I have heard of carbide bandsaw blades for re-sawing hard or especially abrasive timber, like teak. I bet that it works very well on stabilised knife handle wood too.

If you lower the throat (top guide) of the saw it's rollers will stabilize the blade and it will make much smoother cuts. It's also much safer. Lower it to within a 1/16 of an inch of the surface of that G-10, and you'll be amazed at the difference.

I've been thinking of buying a scrolls for shaping scales prior to glue up.
Any views on this idea?

Make sure to wear a respirator when cutting G10 with a bandsaw. That fine dust is very hazardous to your health. Thanks for the tip.

My solution: don't mess with G10. XD
I like to stick to natural materials, which are not completely harmless depending on how you work them, but still way easier to handle than G10.

I build catapults and I use a router cuts through 6mm like butter
