Idk why do so many people defend the U turn pluto, it is a decent sounding preamp with highly overinflated price

Schitt Mani is the way to go, period. Remember the law of the diminishing of returns when shopping for phono pre amp. I use the Schiit Mani phono pre-amp and the Schiit Magni 3 as a volume control and the headphone amp with RCA to XLR cables to the Presonus E5 and the set up is as good as it can be for me.

I have the Schiit Mani with the Nagaoka MP-150h. I play mostly 60's and 70's, 80's, 90's, and 12" Singles and this Combination grips them like Steel. No more Siblence, Rough harsh sound. Just Pure Quality from the Thumping Tight Bass to the Crash of a Cymbal everything Is reproduced like They are In the Room with You rather than being a Distant Band on a Stage. Amazing Wake Up Britain and start Listening to Music as should be Listened to.

By what criteria is the word best applied here? If its sound quality then best does not apply. I've owned the Pro-Ject and heard the Emotiva and frankly these preamps are where vinyl replay goes to die. Has any real listening been conducted or have you just scoured the web for reviews and specs?

You can tell right away that these kinds of reviews have no credibility. The slick sound of someone reading the content, the descriptions where no unit has any downsides, the lack of pricing all point to a promotional video similar to any you’d see from company website.

I have a vintage Sansui turntable from the 70s and some Klipsch speakers and I was wondering if I should replace my receiver (which is a Sony AV receiver), or should I simply replace my phono preamp with something like the ones in this video, and keep using the same receiver?
