Top 10 EASIEST Characters for Beginners in KOF

Who is the best fighter to start with as a beginner in the King of Fighters series? These are the characters that I personally find them simple enough to use and are my main picks whenever a new KOF game is released. However, that doesn't mean that mastering them will be equally simple.

Terry was the first character i played in Fatal Fury because he was on the cover of the SNES cartridge.
I find Mai to be super easy to play and she didn't even get a mention here. She has changed very little in terms of excusion over the years.

I like Maxima: he has high health, good damage, super armor an easy command grab, a nice cross-up and a laser

For Terry Id argue his weakness is just opening people up. He’s got incredible pressure and is not a guy you want bullying you in the corner but he’s reliant on forcing openings rather than finding them as he lacks a command grab or an overhead outside jumping moves.

Idk about Athena being the easiest Character in all of Kof, in KOF 13 she was quite technical and was considered among the hardest characters in that game.

I always picked Athena because she was cute but for me she's really hard to control. I play better with other characters :(

First team I used when I started playing King of Fighters was The American Sports Team

Team K were all my first characters in the series. Maxima is just awesome. K' has the swag and Kula is just... chill

I find grapplers the most intuitive, so I always recommend them. The game plan for them is straightforward, combos are minimum, and winning with mind game feels nice. And of course there is Shermie.

my first characters were ralph, kim and leona in kof 96. I could even dragon punch
I still like the Robert and Ralf of kof 96, 97 and 98.

Athena is my main player now, alongside Iori and either Kim or Leona
