AI Copywriting: How Copywriters Can Prepare

Most copywriters won't want to hear this, but...

Artificial intelligence (AI) is relentlessly trying to replace you.

And it's not looking good for some copywriters.

Personally? I don't give a damn about "AI copywriting."

I've positioned myself so it's impossible for AI to replace me...

No matter how smart they become or how fast they compute.

So while some copywriters are getting phased out...

My services will be in even higher demand as time goes on.

Because my copy skills exist on a different plane, unreachable by robots.

Curious how you can make the shift to "irreplaceable?"

Watch today's short video...

The faster you pivot to what I'm doing, the less likely you'll get left behind.

As I was watching this video I couldn't stop thinking about how wrong you were about AI, but then I just noticed that this is a year old — so it makes sense. AI has definitely been underestimated and they have already figured out the main aspects to copywriting and have implemented many of them in just the last few months. My stuff is coming straight out of AI programs already 90% of the way to the finished piece of copy and NESB already implemented. I think the best thing we can do as copywriters is to embrace AI and combine the #1 AND #2. Be the best and the best at using the software. I know it's really been helping me stand out from my competitors firsthand. As a real copywriter, you can use the tools SO MUCH BETTER than the rest. This kind of reminds me of when Fiverr came out and I was still designing logos and websites. AI isn't going anywhere and it's only getting smarter....every single day.

I’ve seen AI written news pieces, and they’re pretty good.

But, I’m not worried. Changes like this in an industry are nothing new, and, in many cases, it’s been beneficial for the few that have put time into their craft.

Blacksmiths are a great example. There was a time when blacksmiths could be found in every major hub and town across the UK.

And now a machine can manufacture things a lot faster than a blacksmith can. But there are people who want custom made iron gates for their country estate for example, and they are willing to pay top dollar for it.

So for the ones that remain, money has never been better.

Perhaps the same thing could happen with good copywriters?

Kyle, I agree that you need to be good. But I think that on top that, people will need to think a lot more about how they position themselves to potential clients.

Simply being able to write isn’t enough.

And I think that you kind of touched on that when you spoke about the four emotions and coming up with new ideas to trigger them. And the Ideas that a writer can bring to the table to solve a clients problems are going to be so much more valuable. Whether that’s for a sales letter, or for their business as a whole.

There’s now doubt about it that AI will change everything. But AI writing is like getting furniture from Ikea. For the majority it works just fine, but for those who need something a bit more special, the master carpenter or furniture maker will always be able to cash in on their skills.

Realistically I think just about any job could be replaced by AI within the working life of a 20 year old. If you are young, the world will likely change dirrasticaly over your life. Just focus on making money with whats here now and learn to be adaptive.

I think you're underestimating AI with some of the things you say. I think sprinkling in words that signal NESB would be relatively easy for AI to learn. Especially if you fed it with a bunch of examples from other sales letters to start with.

One interesting possibility is that, as copywriters, we can use AI ourselves to assist in some of the more formulaic parts of copywriting. (I suppose Clickfunnels' "Funnel Scripts" tool is an early example of this.) But our judgment would still remain useful in connecting the dots, choosing the best lines that the AI generates, and making sure it all "works" together in a human way.

I have seen 4 different promos for 4 unique service offerings by 4 different companies that directly compete with my top selling service packages. Faster, cheaper.

F anyone who says AI isn’t out to get us copywriters.

Could you make a video on how to do research properly? More specifically how to get into the mind of your audience?

What software programs do you need to know, if any, at this point of time to become a copywriter? Do I need coding?

But many people are saying sales letters are pretty much dead. Maybe you’re a B2C writer? There isn’t demand in B2B. The B2B software blogs might not say buy now but there’s still a level of skill in those that AI is nowhere near. They do indirectly sell.
