Induction stoves are also great bc they don't heat up the surrounding air and the kitchen. Waaaayyy easier to cook over one in the summer, and they're more energy efficient, too.

For everyone going on about how hot it must be, it's an induction cooktop so it's not the actual cooktop getting hot at all - it does some funky magnet shit at the pot/pan, directly making it hot (hence "induction" - it induces heat)

I love my induction stove!
I’ve only got an entry level one that cost $400 but it will boil that quantity of water from tap cold nearly as fast as in the video. I love the fact that only the pot heats up and the stove itself stays cool to touch. I love how fast pots and pans reach temperature. I love the instant temperature control and I especially love that I haven’t melted or burned a cutting board or tea towel since getting it.

I just got a Samsung induction stove that has the 9/P setting, and I can confirm. Max induction power is powerful as fuck. A watched pot will, indeed, boil.
