Mirtos Crete Greece
Mirtos (Myrtos) is a seaside village known for its wonderful sandy beach. It is 16 km from Ierapetra. The small village is situated in a wooded area of banana trees near the river Krio. Mirtos beach is beautiful and has something for everyone as the sand alternates with small pebbles. Near the village are the remains of an Early Minoan settlement, while at Agios Antonios there are ruins of Roman baths.
