Zhiyun Smooth 4 Review | Works Great With A GoPro

In this video we are taking a closer look at the Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal for smartphones that also works well with a GoPro. We go over all the buttons and menus and what they do. This is a nice unit if you are looking for a gimbal that you can use with your smart phone but also a GoPro Hero 5/6 Black. Although GoPro's are not officially supported I does work quite well without the use of any adapters.

It works even with the cheaper model Zhiun and all you need is the plastic cap from a soda bottle to hold it in place

Two issues: You can't see or use the screen; the pitch access motor will have to work extra hard because of the thickness of the GoPro compared to a smartphone, so that motor could burn out more quickly, unless you balance it.

can u use with with the Gopro plate so u can have an external microphone.... as u know the sound without an external mic is horrible.

great idea about mounting gopro, only issue is you cant see the screen anymore. This can be a problem if you are filming a walking video as is the trend today. Using the cheap ebay mount is far better.
