Review by CapnRex101:

Minifigure
Previous versions of Thanos have been bigfigs which seems appropriate given his considerable size. However, this minifigure looks splendid in my opinion. The helmet has not been available in pearl gold before and loosely resembles certain versions of the character, although this minifigure seems generic. Furthermore, I appreciate his lavender head and fittingly furious facial expression!

The wrinkles across Thanos' chin are also present and that printed detail continues on the torso and legs. Dark blue and metallic gold are combined to excellent effect here, although greater consistency between pearl and metallic shades would have been welcome. Nevertheless, the sand blue highlights are absolutely perfect so I am pleased with this minifigure.

The Completed Model
Enormous strength is certainly valued by Thanos and this mech looks suitably imposing, measuring 12cm in height. The dark blue and gold colour scheme corresponds with the minifigure and I like the bulky limbs which give the impression of suitable power. Moreover, I think this mech looks distinctive, despite sharing construction techniques with 76140 Iron Man Mech and 76146 Spider-Man Mech.

Numerous small ball joints are positioned across this model, permitting extensive articulation. I am particularly satisfied with the knees and double shoulder joints which provide magnificent versatility. The rotating waist is useful too. However, the most distinctive feature of the mech is undoubtedly its articulated fingers, especially on the Infinity Gauntlet.

While the gauntlet is traditionally worn by Thanos, connecting this famed accessory to his mech has enabled the designer to include outstanding detail. The colour combination of pearl gold and metallic gold looks great and all six Infinity Stones are present. These are situated to reflect Avengers: Infinity War but could be arranged for comic accuracy if you wish. Each digit includes two hinges which offer various options for display, although the hand cannot close to create a fist which is disappointing.

This model bears some resemblance to the NEXO Knights Battle Suits that were introduced during 2017, integrating the chest armour element from those sets. Its angular shape corresponds with both shoulders and I like the printed 2x3 pentagonal tile at its centre. Unfortunately, stickers are required to create the matching designs on the arms and legs, although the result looks nice.

Hinges connect this armour component to the waist, allowing it to open. There is plenty of room for Thanos to stand inside but his connection to the 1x2 foot plate feels comparatively insecure and the aforementioned 2x3 pentagonal tile does restrict motion of the chest armour. However, the minifigure remains easy to position and looks superb in combination with the mech.

Detail is definitely focused across the front of Thanos' mech so the reverse appears relatively bland. Certain aspects of its colour scheme remain intact but the black pieces seem out of place. The large boots are brilliant though, recalling many depictions of Thanos who wear similar boots during comics, video games and the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Overall
Despite its unusual subject matter, 76141 Thanos Mech seems surprisingly impressive. This model definitely captures the imposing appearance of Thanos and enlarging the Infinity Gauntlet to include additional detail is ingenious, particularly since its design has been executed rather well. I appreciate the extensive articulation too, encompassing the Infinity Gauntlet and this entire figure.

Furthermore, the exclusive Thanos minifigure features outstanding detail. Bigfigs are probably more accurately representative of this character but the minifigure is interesting and could prove useful for other Marvel creations where bigfigs might be unsuitable. The set costs £8.99 or $9.99 which seems reasonable in my opinion, hence I think 76141 Thanos Mech is worthy of consideration.
