This is a brief review of the p2 with nougat update.

Unbeatable combination:
- killer battery
- good performance
- 5.5" SAmoled screen
- fingerprintscanner on the front
- near stock Android
- affordable price.

-So after the Nougat update these are the things i noticed
Battery backup increased even more
-Games are running smoother
interface is preety much the same (except notification bar and quick toggles)
-You can use split screen to run two apps simultaneously tough all apps are not compatible
-The synchronisation issue that was with youtube and other apps is fixed too altough there is still a minute difference.
-Night mode feature which was there before too but now comes with a brownish effect
Now there are some issues that i'm facing
The sound from the speaker don't have that depth anymore . The sound is distorted when we listen it in max volume which was not the case before . (Its output from the speaker was one of the best) . So i hope lenovo can fix this issue with a small update in near future.
-Another issue is this portrait mode icon on the top which is kind of annoying.
If anyone of you noticed these issues or have some other issue please let me know
**Also in Antutu Benchmark the p2 is scoring around 60000 after the update which was around 64-65k when it was in Marshmallow**

@TechXplicit :Thanks for making this video. Really appreciate that. Not many users have bought this device in India(Considering the number of Flipkart Reviews and ratings). It means a lot, under those circumstances to make a video probably after 2 months of purchasing the device.

Please find the below thread for your reference. It is a thread on XDA where a member has compiled a list of issues/bugs in P2.

Can you confirm if following issues still persist after nougat update?

-> Lip sync problem
-> Notification don't show when screen is locked. Like GMAIL new mail mail push notification.
-> Focus Hunting Problem During Video recording
> Low video recording volumes of audio.
-> CPU usage always at 1.6GHz even when the device is idle.

These minor bugs are the only thing holding me back from buying this device. There is no fun of great hardware if your software experience is finicky. I might go for Redmi Note 4 if above issues still persist, because then I can be assured of the fact that there are no minor bugs, (Moto g5 plus is not so worth spending 17k). And we all know that Lenovo is sloth when it comes to updates. Lenovo never rolls out minor bug fixing updates. If this update does not address these issues, then I doubt if they will roll out another update soon in upcoming months.

+TechXplicit i am lenovo p2 user and I've been skeptical of the Nougat update since it hit p2 devices. In the lenovo forums you might have seen people complaining about the on screen navigation buttons not working after the update as well as multi window.
Hope you can clarify that and BTW VERY USEFUL VIDEO

To remove the portrait icon you just have to use Nova launcher. Then add the widget " Activities" then select "system ui" then select demo mode. Now select that demo mode widget on the home screen and disable the icons which you don't need. Thank you! peace. ✌️

i didnt get.. any apps crash issue on nougat update p2. It works smooth & fine. Front camera have now good amount of natural colours its better than marshmallow. While recording video at 1080p EIS has improved lot better in nougat update. Now its have multi windows features & itz works smooth.New android patch security level its have.

To remove the portrait Mode icon from the status bar.
Have to download an app from play store Named as Quick shortcut maker and open it and find system UI then touch it and then touch the Demo mode hai create a short cut and and return to your home screen where the shortcut have been created than open it and go to status bar and switch it of the auto rotate and hence your icon will be removed
