One of the worst things about Eve is, after you have done the mining char and then a missioning char, which usually progresses to exploration, you tend to start doing some PI and then industry, which quickly reaches a point where the game becomes more of a job than a game. Once it reaches that point its extremely difficult to switch to other stuff because of limited time. I have regularly started new chars just to do career training and starter missions just to get a bit of a break but then I just hit my boredom level and quit for and again and again.

I'm still trying to start playing this game, so I enjoy your series. Especially I'm a casual player because of IRL issues :D

Thx

Looking forward to watch this series. I just started playing a few days ago. I’m playing Eve Echoes and there I’m a miner / industry player and occasionally PvE and explore. There I plan to build every ship in the game so I’m thinking to go for something similar in EO :)

Jump in a Heron, set home base to Amarr, farm relic sites in Stain, profit

As an owner of a titan, been apart of a block and moved on to smaller null entities, have had tons of assets, rorqual fleets, etc. The game died for me when scarcity happened and it changed the universe to be even more risk adverse, and that's still true today. Space ownership hasn't really changed and that's a problem. No conflict, no reason.

Sounds like an okay series. As for me, I have done an Alpha account and missed the abilities of an Omega account. I admit I went Omega, bought some injectors, and the rest was history. I do the solo thing to. I currently have a small five person corp. All me. Can be tedious. I will watch what your doing with interest.

We need an old school Eve online like there is old school RuneScape and new RuneScape.

You should Do a Pure Alpha Series with a Alpha Corp and take over a small space in null if that's even possible.

You pretty well summed up what a lot of veteran players are thinking about Eve Online. I've been back as a solo artist for the past year or so and I sometimes think about joining a bigger group just for the social dynamics. But that ends up being sort of like Cheers, just not as funny.

Well I just started eve and if I had that amount of isk I would fund a big war or a corp to expand their land and get even more isk and repeat for more land. The ultimate idk sink would be in buying those ships and fighting wars.

you make the exact point that i try to make to my friends every time they want to hack ahead and get a chunk of in game currency (in any game. not eve online they dont play this.) i keep telling them. the game THE JOURNEY is about overcoming the obstacles and figuring out how to make that income to enjoy the ease of life stuff you get later on. if you jump straight to end game right now you limit your enjoyment. you reach the roof fly around for a few days up there then get bored and go to an entirely different game with the same 'structure' to it in terms of progress and reward. if you skip the progress you lose the pleasure of the reward. personally i'll gain isk forever :) and when the time comes, start nuking new players and giving them a budget and a fire under their butt to get back out into space again.

great video! So many great points at the beginning about accumulation of ISK and long term goals. I never really thought about older players becoming the bad guys as well....but so true!

I did a similar minor youtube series earlier this year playing as an alpha. I have a feeling your series is going to be so much better than mine as your knowledge is much greater....really looking forward to watching. I hope you don't mind, but I gave a shout out to your channel in my newest video:) Awesome stuff!

I gave some thought of doing what your doing, but filling all the slots with toons. Then just bouncing from toon to toon.

That's a nice idea cause I think that there are a lot of players out there wondering if Eve is even worth playing for free and that's exactly what you show us so that's cool !

my main is 12 years old, 200 million sp and a cap pilot. I might sell it on Player Auctions since I just don’t play as much anymore.

Grab a 300m alpha praxis and go run some incursions you should make the praxis itself back in about 3 fleets

Regarding that first minute. I just want to add that it's also really hard to even use the same account. The last corp I was in wanted api's for my account so they could see the other characters I ran.

Got tired of being afraid all the time in null corp....and the "call to arms" comms that seemed to happen every 5 minutes. Happy solo alpha carebear time for me. To each their own I guess. BTW, it's never "PvP", it's always something like "10PvP".
