The Minotaur watch by #konstantinchaykin

Показать описание
For each character in the Wristmons collection Konstantin Chaykin develops a complex background, based on both scientific fact and legend. For example, the Minotaur was inspired by ancient myths. The key story is that of the man with a bull’s head, who lived in the labyrinth of Knossos. The dial is decorated with a labyrinthine pattern, while the top lugs are shaped like a bull’s horns. The second story “coded” in the Wristmon is one of the Bronze Age and the Moon goddess. Chaykin has invented a unique complication for the Minotaur, a dual-disc day of the week indicator. It’s located in the character’s “nostrils”, covered by sapphire glass. The day of the week is depicted by two Ancient Greek-looking letters. At midnight, one letter moves upwards and the other downwards. The disks are made of different materials, one is bronze, hinting at the Bronze Age, the other is silver, as a reference to the goddess of the Moon which was traditionally associated with silver.
