Previous 10 year experience in sales and He’s 100 right however what he fails to mention that 1) you’re always chasing the next sale which is great, if there is a sale to chase but slumps suck and ALWAYS happen.
2) the hours you put in are limitless
3) a salesman goes and gets the sale, you become a doctor to have the “sales” come to you.

I left sales for this reason. However if you hit it big in sales you’re set for life. Just depends on how much you love the CLOSE.

It’s true I’m one of them. Couldn’t get good grades because I could barely pay attention in school. Dropped out of college my 2nd year and went into sales. I make six figures and I’m a COLLEGE dropout. You don’t need a college education to become wealthy 🎉

Sales is an industry where your hard work determines the money you make. You put in the work and the money can be endless

I'm in Sales as well, started to work for one company and after 7 years joined a second one, now I work for 2 companies in different fields and some other extra companies from time to time. Me and my collegues earn more than a bank director here in Europe, but it all depends on our hard work and you must be built for it, it's a skill that you cultivate with time and with experience and it's all about the human factor. If you're good at sales you can sell anything, literally. It's not for everyone though.

Less than 1% can get into sales and be successful. I made a career out of it. I make around $250k a year and sit in AC all day. GED graduate. Who else do you know that take's home $8-$10k biweekly?

Good point about entry and costs. Typical heart surgeon is in college, med school, interning and in residency 16 years before he’s a full-fledged surgeon. That means if he starts college at 18, he’s not a heart surgeon until he’s 34!
