I guess I’ll use the dirty shoes analogy again and say that people would prefer to call me sensitive for wanting to have my house clean rather than respect my boundaries just because they’re a guest. I’d say I would only be super sensitive if I was going onto other people’s videos about Hide Away and put my own boundaries on them but I’m not. People are just mean and selfish, I guess. *I made this lyric video because I hate how this song is only ever associated with the Verbalase drama. People are straight up referencing it in the comment section of Synapson's video of this song and that's honestly disgusting. They don't deserve to have their song be connected with this controversy. I WILL NOT accept any comments joking about Hazbin Hotel or Verbalase, so please respect that. None of that “We making it out of the hotel with this one 🔥” or “I hope someone doesn’t spend 50K for an animation with this song” stuff.*

*The reason I haven’t closed off the comments from the start is because I actually care about what you guys have to say. But I have boundaries that I do not want people to cross. It’s like how I want people to come into my house and feel welcome but I don’t want them to keep their dirty shoes on and let mud dirty my floors. *Here are some things that I want everyone to know about the situation*
1. Verbalase did not go bankrupt as his estimated net worth is 2.81 million. 50K is but a dent. Bankruptcy is also public record so there would be objective proof if he did go bankrupt, which there seems to be none

2. This animation isn't new as Verbalase confirmed this in November of 2021. The only reason this thing is being talked about now is because someone who didn't like Verbalase leaked it.

3. Your personal kinks and fantasies SHOULD NOT be openly discussed and revealed by others unless you allow it. The fact that someone leaked this commission is abhorrent to me.

4. The animation was not made by a minor, it was made by a studio. The leaker confirmed this and people just misread it

5. Animation requires a lot of time and effort. This was a personalised animation (a completely custom request) which would increase the price as the studio had to create new assets and mimic the Hazbin Hotel artstyle. Adding in music, singing and TONS of movement means that 50K actually makes sense. Artists of all kinds deserve to be paid for their work when they ask for it (because getting 'exposure' as your payment is BS)

6. Having an immense romantic and/or sexual attraction to a fictional character IS PERFECTLY NORMAL. I understand if you're personally not attracted to fictional characters or are aroace but that gives you no right to ridicule a person for being attracted to someone who isn't even real. Self-insert stuff exists, deal with it. Don't look at it if you don't like it.

FINALLY someone with a level head. Bro would had to spend like millions on this video amd other stuff to go bankrupt, even if his channel ain't doing too well he still got bucks (also it was made sucha long time ago same as for his help the channel put video like you mentioned). As for the minor part, the hearsay is so wild people are like Armstrong saying anything with a made up source. Last, kinda bad that it got leaked for petty reasons, also kink shaming do be bad too. The one thing I wanna clarify is that Verbalase fully intended to release the video and thought it would replace the song's official music video in popularity. It would have likely become a meme regardless because the idea of an e-celeb spending tens of thousands on a fan AMV of him being hunted down and sexually assaulted by a fictional female character is objectively hilarious. I do not believe that people should be kink-shamed or mocked for their private lives, but this was *always* intended for a wide release.
