The recording sessions Little Richard cut for Specialty are among the most important (and enjoyable) in the history of pop music. Richard Wayne Penniman (born December 5, 1932), known by his stage name Little Richard, is an American recording artist, songwriter, and musician. He has been an influential figure in popular music and culture for over six decades. Penniman's most celebrated work dates from the mid-1950s where his dynamic music and charismatic showmanship laid the foundation for rock and roll. His music also had a pivotal impact on the formation of other popular music genres, including soul and funk. Penniman influenced numerous singers and musicians across musical genres from rock to rap.

I was not aware of this song until I heard it on Iggy Pop's set on BBC Radio 6 Music.

I imagined that if this song was on RoBeats, just like how Just Dance songs manage to be in there. I also imagined that if there was an album called The Complete Pre-Beatles Recordings, since The Beatles did their version of Ooh! My Soul.

Can't keep up with the Rackets version from 1964 in any way, because it clearly has more pepper and is significantly hotter and rockier!
