Which announcement are you most looking forward to seeing at WWDC?

The 5000 nits are before the light goes through the optics stack, of which only 10-20% of that light actually hits your eyes. The values you quoted for the Quest and PSVR are after the optics stack, not before, so it’s not a fair comparison (granted the rumored specs for the Apple Headset still come out on top).

AR might be useful in a pair of oversized sunglasses (so the vision-impaired like you and I can wear them over our eyeglasses) but I just can't imagine squeezing out $3000 or whatever for a niche product that has a handful of games that are basically a Second Life remix.

Everyone was nuts for VR back when The Lawnmower Man came out (which was just a TRON remix in horror form) but look how that's aged. It looks ridiculously childish.

I don't need a $3000 visor to play Minecraft. Having useful information that's constantly updated on a mixed reality AR screen though, I can imagine some benefits to that at the right price (which is never Apple's best wheelhouse).

If the new Mac Studios are M2-based and not M3, and the Mac Pro doesn't make a shocking debut, I'd have to agree with others that it'd just be another stopgap to swing some sales out of already poor first half of 2023.

It's fine though, my M1-based Mac Studio should at least soon benefit from Apple's new (predicted) focus on bringing real gaming to Macs without the need for Parallels or CrossOver. That'd certainly increase the value for me beyond it's daily work use.
