In this Minecraft video Mumbo builds some Impossible Minecraft Builds that make no sense. These Impossible Minecraft optical Illusions are mind bending constructions that defy the laws of physics, often looking like non-Euclidian Minecraft structures, these optical illusions in Minecraft are built entirely in survival vanilla Minecraft. Featuring M.C Escher's infinite waterfall illusion in Minecraft, Penrose stairs in Minecraft, Impossible triangles in Minecraft and many other cursed minecraft builds.

Hey Mumbo! I'm an architecture student. Funnily enough, this semester's studio (designing a building class) involves examining a lot of impossible perspectives and geometries. It's so cool to see that things like this can still happen in a game like Minecraft! If you ever do another one of these, it would be interesting to see you take on the works of Giorgio de Chirico (but I doubt you'd be able to do everything in a painting at once). Twofold was happy. His creator was looking up with him with adoration in his eyes. All he desired was his creator's approval. And yet, as he watched, his creator rose above him and seemed to frown.
Twofold felt sadness unlike any he'd ever experienced. He wondered why his creator would leave him below, on the ground, while ascending without him.

This is my story:

The face has lived a life, a life so full of twists and turns. The face suffers from depression, hence his straight face. He is only ever happy and excited at the cost of others happiness, but realises he shouldn't do that, yet he is in a habit of doing it. For the past 10 years, he had been forgotten about, until Mumbo, remembering him from 2011, decided it was time to reincarnate him.

Twofold: The story.


Once upon a Monday evening Twofold quickly came into existence with a single goal. To be used by a content creator for monetary value. His life was short lived. His face was simply a gimmick, no one cared, he was treated like some kind of inanimate object. But he wouldn’t stay this way for long. He would revolt. After using his face, Mumbo went off to place more blocks and use even more people for his own gain. But Twofold wasn’t having it.

So, after Mumbo finished recording and turned off his computer, Twofold set his plan into action. Rebooting the computer by himself, opening up minecraft by himself. And he’d thought of the most evil thing he could possibly do.

Logging onto the Hermitcraft server Twofold was impersonating Mumbo, with a twist. He knew what needing to be done. So he gathered the dirt blocks, pillared up and block by block removed every piece of Mumbo sign to Scar. That’s right. Now Scar thinks Mumbo doesn’t like him anymore. He’s ruined their friendship.

Twofold proceeds to build a 360 degree tnt launcher on the top of Mumbo’s base, firing out tnt destroying Impulse and Grians builds that they’d spent months working on. Friendship ruined. Twofold meticulously weaved through Pearls base, moving every item into a different chest. He was truly angry.

Only one thing was left to do. Equipping Mumbo with all his diamonds, armour and valuable kit Twofold sent Mumbo into the Boatem Hole.

Maybe this will teach Mumbo not to Angle down on him. Just maybe.

I did an optical illusions research paper in high school and experimented with making certain illusions in Minecraft as well. Though I didn't get the waterfall one (even after spending several hours on attempts), I'm pretty happy that you managed to make it work. Cool stuffs, Mumbo!

2:48 - That's how traditional Japanese theater masks worked. They had a neutral expression, but would appear to smile or frown if tilted up or down, just based on the shape they were carved and painted. Really fascinating how the human brain interprets shapes and color.
