Rosberg's win isn't luck. Luck happens when an opportunity meets preparation. Rosberg won fairly. He deserves it.

It really started in the final races of 2015. Lewis secured the WDC and went on cruise mode. It also lit a fire in Nico's ass and he swept the final races of 2015, kept the winning streak until they both crashed on lap one of Spain. That and luck are what allowed him to really compete all the way to Abu Dhabi where he won it on merit alone.

One thing that never gets talked about is just how good the Mercedes was this season. Arguably their strongest car to date, and yes that includes the W11. In 2016 they only lost races due to crashes.

Goes to show how a race engineer's proficiency also plays a role in getting better results. Lewis and Nico swapped mechanic teams in 2016 as Nico thought Lewis was unfairly getting the good car mechanics, and ngl Nico's win streak made it seem like the case.

I remember this was the first ever season of f1 i watcher I was like 9 years old and I was thinking the whole time how bloody good it was especially when Hamilton went first in the championship I didn’t really like any driver on the grid but when Lewis won in Abu Dhabi I thought he won the championship but then my dad explained to me that nico rosberg is a robber 😂
