Kia Sedona Van Rear Heater Line Repair for Cheap
Показать описание
Kia Sedona van rear heater line repair. This is a 05 Sedona and it had a coolant leak from the rear heater line. In the video I said they were 16 mm line when they are 17 mm. I have read this is the same lines on the 04 and 03 also. I called Kia and was told the cost for repairs would be $615. I purchased 24 feet of hose for $44 thinking I has a hole in two places. I ended up using about 3 - 4 feet of 5/8 hose. i also had to buy new blades for my saws-all for $8. Now I have at-least 20 feet of line left over and our Sedona is no longer leaking coolant. Kia knows these line rust and did not cover then good. Road salt can get on them and rust the rear heater coolant lines of most minivans and cause engine overheating when the coolant leaks out. For the Kia Sedona, all model years, there are 4 options:
1. Replace the rusted lines with Kia parts (Kia dealer quoted me over $600 to replace the line).
2. Do it yourself with new lines. Online price of part is around $75-$125.
3. Replace the lines with rubber heater hose. Under $50 to replace all of it.
4. Bypass the rear heater core by capping off both sides of the hose on the outbound and inbound coolant lines from the engine about $5. But the rear heater will not work in the back anymore.
