It was a rainy Tuesday when Clara stumbled into the small flower shop on the corner of a quiet street. The sign above the door, "Petals & Dreams, " was worn, but the smell of fresh blossoms filled the air, pulling her in. As she stepped inside, the warmth and fragrance enveloped her, and for the first time in days, she felt at peace.

A man stood behind the counter, his hands carefully arranging a bouquet of lilies. His face was kind, with soft eyes that seemed to understand more than words could convey.

“Can I help you?” he asked, his voice gentle, almost musical.

Clara hesitated. "I... I’m not sure. Just wanted to escape the rain."

He smiled. “You’re welcome to stay as long as you need.”

As Clara wandered around the shop, admiring the vibrant colors and delicate petals, something in her heart stirred. She wasn’t used to kindness—at least not this pure, this unguarded. There was no hurry in his movements, no rush to make a sale. He was patient, calm, and genuinely seemed to care about each flower as though it held a secret worth knowing.

“Do you have any roses?” she asked finally.

He nodded, walking toward a display. “Roses are for those who still believe in love, ” he said, holding up a bouquet with deep red blooms. “These are special, for the dreamers.”

Clara smiled softly. “I used to be one of them.”

“I think we all still are, deep down, ” he replied.

The simplicity of his words resonated with her. Maybe she had forgotten how to dream, but standing in his shop, she felt a flicker of something she hadn’t felt in years.
