I made this cake with my 8 year old twin granddaughters and they wanted gumdrops instead of cherries. It turned out wonderful and they were so proud of it. I just created a great memory for them and I hope they pass it on when they are older just as you have done. Thank you

Wonderful video. Thanks for the inspiration. I made it today. I found the almond was just too too much. I use almond in other recipes but for this cake next time I would put only 1/2 tsp almond and increase the vanilla 1/2 tsp. The almond truly left a bad taste in my mouth, but then again, I'm not from The Rock, what do I know. May 2021 be kinder and gentler to us all. :-)

I made this cherry cake and it’s delicious, we have been giving it a taste test for 3 days now and every day it tastes better .I had downloaded the recipe and it says bake 325 not 350 ….it took an hour for a loaf pan . Love your video and have used and loved your recipes for years !

I followed the recipe tonight and the temp in the written recipe called for 325F and the cake was in the oven for a total of 80 minutes the last 15 min at 350f and the centre of the cake was still wet. What happened? Looks like such a beautiful cake in the pics!😢
