Bars! I like that intro about maximizing knowledge and being unlimited. Run the clip 😂

Love the JST Maximiser so far. Hot tip for anyone getting lag in their DAW with the interface open: Close the meters section to the right. The plugin is EXTREMELY capable.

I am now 100% convinced that Miami has access to my credit card history and uploads content based on what I last purchased.

i like the explanations between Analog (soft clipping & limiting) and Digital (hard clipping & brickwall limiting). it's interesting how those types of styles kinda defined their own musical generations.

Good info. What I'm doing right now in my master bus is clipping then brick wall limiting. I have maximizer style limiters as well, but I'm looking this 2 step process where it takes 2 plug-ins to do distinct actions to create my end goal. It's actually 2 different limiters with a clipper this way, a D16 Group Frontier limiter on my main fader into the LVC Clipped-MAX and Venomode Maximal 3 on the insert section of my Master Bus in the Studio One DAW.

Why @4:32 does the maximizer plug in have clipper selected if it's a brick wall limiter?

Good stuff. Loved the longer loop for the limiter vs. maximizer comparison. Would have preferred that for all of them, but it's a detail. Thanks for the video.

Love the content you put out. You should consider making a playlist in in order based on difficulty for beginners. It's really hard to find clear and concise information on how to start out on production on YouTube. At least in my experience. Most of the videos I watched through random searches when I first started out would at times be too complex or use too much jargon to fully grasp and I would've killed for a resource like this channel.

Edit: my only criticism is that at 2:40 you switch between hard and soft clipping right on beat with the changing guitar chords which made it a little more difficult to differentiate between the two. I would've liked it if the same part of the song just repeated from the beginning to make the differences in clipping a little more clear.

Soft and hard clipping are different styles of clipping it doesnt stand for software or hardware. Softclipping is a bit like a softknee clipping and hardclipping is basically brickwall clipping.... good vid bro sorry for being late to the party

And I agree with you I prefer softclipping (Just how hardware would clip) and hard limiting the transparant way to catch dem peaks
