I USED TO HAVE SUPER BAD ANXIETY. It was horrible. I had it for about 4 years. I would overthink things all the time, I was scared to raise my hand in class to answer a question because I was scared to be judged, I couldn't even talk to a girl one on one because I was so anxious! I wanted to be in theatre because I liked acting but I didn't want people to judge me in a bad way for getting into theatre and being some "weird theatre kid". I never went to church, I never really believed in a god, I just did my own thing. And my life was MISERABLE. I would get suicidal thoughts, but I never attempted to do it. Then one day in 2018, my friend invited me to a Bible study at our high school. I thought about it and decided to go and check it out. And on October 9, 2018, my LIFE was changed forever. I don't remember what the person talked about at the Bible study, but I remember leaving the classroom so happy and excited to come back the next week. So I started to go to the Bible study every week and begin to learn about God. The real and living God of the Bible. After a while my friend invited me to his church and I started to go and learn even more about God and have friends to talk about God too. My anxiety started to fade away, but I still had moments where I would have anxiety attacks and freak out. And by the way, it was easy to HIDE my anxiety. So you might have someone in your life that is dealing with anxiety and you don't even know it. That's why we need to check up on our friends and actually ask them how they're doing. Going back to my story, over the summer I went to this huge church conference and on the last night, the preacher said "if anyone's going through anything, I want you to come to the front and ask God to heal you" and I remember I went to the front and I got down on my knees and I cried out to God and I said, "God, if you're actually real, if you can actually heal me of my anxiety, SHOW ME." And right after I did that, I heard GOD for the first time. And He told me "I've healed you from your anxiety right now, and it's not going to come back." And after that happened the preacher said "If anyone got healed, I want you to come up onto the stage and tell everyone" and I didn't even think about it. I went up onto the stage and told about 900 people that God had healed my anxiety! And my anxiety HAS NOT come back, and I know it never will again because that's who God is. He is the God of healing. The God of miracles! He saved my life! And He's calling you today. Jesus LOVES you and He died for YOU. You can get right with God TODAY and get saved. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 that "whoever confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved". It's not about working your way to heaven. Thank God it isn't because there is no way we could ever work our way into heaven! It's about believing in Jesus, believing He died on the cross for you and accepting Him into your life as your Lord and Savior.
