I am not giving the Canary five stars for being the best home security system on the planet. I'm giving it five stars because it does exactly what it says it's supposed to do in the product description.

The unit takes about five minutes to set up, link to your wifi and synch to the app on your mobile device. The first few days I was getting a lot of alerts triggered by my cat. Fortunately, there is a sensitivity slider on the app that allows you to alter the number of alerts you get based on the amount of motion detected, so I'm having fewer of these show up on my phone now. I've tested it by taking it out of privacy mode when I'm home, and walking into the living room from either the front parlor or the kitchen, and it alerts me in these conditions. I do still get an occasional false alarm from a window blind flapping in the breeze or some such, but it's not annoying at all.
