Minority here(latino), even if I had the money I could never live in a gated community, every time I drive by a gated community or one of this fancy places they make me feel like I am in the movie "get out", everybody is fake smiling with their perfect dogs, everybody looks like they came out of the same hole, no thanks.

I think the vast majority of people prefer improved safety for themselves and their family members over any losses of "freedom". Criminals definitely have more freedoms to easily access your home without a gate. There is no such thing as something that blocks crime. Every measure is simply a deterrent. The more deterrants you have the less likely you'll be a victim

I’ll be honest, I’m kinda rich (make over $240, 000 a year and own 3 rental townhomes already at age 29), but I would not want to live in a gated community. Yes, I love big, nice homes, good neighborhood, nice grass etc- but I don’t want it to be GATED tho.

Keith, I love you, brother, but this episode was pure comedy for me as a previous resident of a gated community in Henderson, NV. While you delivered the looong list of pros, I was laughing out loud! 😂 The pros GREATLY outweigh the cons! In fact, what you listed as the cons were restatements of the pros! Again, I am a HUGE fan of yours, Keith! ❤️
