can you extend the distance between the camera and the controller with an extension cable?

The Amazon camera compatibility might mention your model, but it might not work in movie mode versus still. It didn't start my Canon EOS RP in Movie mode, but it did it in Manual still mode. So now it's a poached egg timer.
