My Homemade Boom Sprayer | Easy and Cheap | Use with Pallet Forks

I wanted a decent sized boom sprayer for weeds that I could use in the front of my tractor or skid steer. This would be pallet based and I would use the pallet forks to just drive it round. What I made is working great and I will continue to improve it.

Very economical build. I have my sprayer on the back of my truck, and have the pump connected to the trailer tail-light plug. That way, I can turn it on and off simply by turning the lights on and off, which is super convenient (Down Under)

You can put food coloring in your spray to see where you have sprayed.

I'm in the process of building a DIY sprayer and have been looking for other people's ideas to go along with mine and like your setup. I'm going to be using it to spray my horse arena as I pull my drag to keep the dust down. I have the same pump and clear 55-gallon drum as you. I'm looking at using a single spray nozzle that has a 16 ft swath. I plan on mounting everything on top of the drum so I can utilize my 3 point hitch. Great video and thanks for the ideas!

What size plastic tubing did you use and what spray tips

If you raise the boom to above the water level in the drum would loose the siphon effect and probably not need the valve

Might want to put a cheap little voltmeter on the battery so you don't discharge the battery too much and kill it.
