I understand that India's heart is in the right place but, won't this add to their long term struggles? I just have some doubts about them being able to repay everything and still have some sort of functioning economy. I'd think if I were an Indian taxpayer that this is a gift vs. a loan no matter how it's presented not saying it's not called for or shouldn't happen, but it looks like Sri Lanka is going to have quite a struggle due to the current tourist situation & some really poor development decisions.
