DIY Spacer for Convoy S2+ Triple

In this video I show you how I made a spacer for my Convoy S2+ Triple. This spacer has a diameter of 20mm at its widest part, and 16mm at its narrowest, making it a perfect fit for both the pill and the 20mm triple led board. The spacer is made from brass, the very same material the stock pill is made of, so heat dissipation is good.

will all the TIR and reflectors marketed as fitting S2+ fit S3?

Oh, if you took some SMD solder paste and bonded those together, the heat would travel thru the pill better, with the two pieces still separated heat won't transfer as well...but soldered together heat has a much better path

Maybe I should buy one of those 15 XML-T6 jobbies and rework it.

Just a thought...

Let's mix in some factors - Arctic Silver / Brass Pill / Brass Spacer / Tin ? / Soldering Iron > Throw away the messy thermal compound, get some heat on that pill and spacer, get some tin in between them and voila = Better thermal conductivity, better mechanical structure integrity, better handling ;)
