The Aluminum Full Motion Desk Mount for Apple Displays PID9259

This Desk Mount is specifically designed for iMacs and stand-alone Apple Displays. However, it also includes a VESA adapter for use with most standard monitors.

This bracket can mount to a desk or other horizontal surface with thickness from 20-60 mm and can accommodate displays weighing up to 33 lbs.
The center of the display can be positioned up to 18" above the mounting surface.
Once installed, the monitor can be easily rotated into the landscape or portrait orientation.
The insides of the two arms are designed so that they can accommodate the cable runs to the monitor, which keeps your work area looking nice and neat.
It comes with all the hardware necessary to install and adjust the mount, including Allen wrenches and a soft, foam pad to protect the finish of your mounting surface.

Installing this Desk mount is really easy:
The first thing you need to do is find a clean, flat surface.
We recommend that you place a soft towel or blanket on the surface to protect the front of your display.
Now, place your screen face down onto the soft towel or blanket.

Grab the plastic card that comes in the package. Insert and orient the card so that it is parallel with the base as seen here. You will need to feel for the latch that secures the base to the screen. Push the card in and you should feel some resistance.

Using the card, push the latch in and hold it in place. With your other hand, move the base in the opposite direction, while continuing to hold the latch open. This will expose the mounting screws.

Use a screwdriver to carefully remove the screws. Note that these screws are made of aluminum and are thus are easily stripped, so take great care not to strip the screw heads.

Next, place the flange adapter onto the display, align it then attach it to the display using the screws from the previous step. Tighten the screws, being careful not to strip the screw heads.

Take the Mount Head and align the two holes in the middle with the flange adapter.

Insert the two M-A screws into the holes. Next, plce the plastic caps on each corner of the Mount Head, then tighten the screws using the provided Allen wrench.

Install the mount base onto your desk and tighten it securely into place.

Position one of the mount arms with the quick-release tab facing up and slide it down onto the desk mount pole to the desired height. Secure the arm to the pole by tightening the screw with the provided Allen wrench.
Grab one of the mount arms, with the quick release tab facing up, and slide to your desired height on the desk mount pole and tighten the screw with wrench key to secure it into place.

Next, grab the second arm. Pull the quick release tab on the first arm back and slide the second arm into place.

For this next step you will probably need some assistance. Position the screen so that the mount bracket on the back is poised over the end of the second arm. Pull back the quick release button on the second arm and slide the screen into place on the arm. Position the screen to the desired height, angle, and orientation. Using an Allen wrench, tighten the screw on the left side of the mount head to secure your screen in place.

There you go. Now you can easily move your screen to any position you desire.

So let me get this right, something that you spent around 2k for (probably) didn't come with a mount and you have to shell out ANOTHER $100? That's apple for ya.
