Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

It's amazing how much trouble Jesse and Walt could have avoided if they just listened to Saul or Mike.

This literally seems like a cutscene from GTA, with the player character walking into the building to be given a mission

"So you want me to buy this place so I can pay taxes? I'm a CRIMINAL, yo" "Yeah. And if you want to stay a criminal, and not become, say, A CONVICT, you'll grow up and listen to your lawyer" this is amazing

Saul was quite literally the best consigliere they ever could have had. The fact that they refused to listen to him is why Walt's empire collapsed as quick as it did

Can’t believe that speech didn’t convince Jesse. Bob Odenkirk got me wanting to buy that nail salon lol

Honestly, nobody in this show deserves a lawyer as good as Saul. Dude goes above and beyond what your usual lawyer would do and they all treat him like garbage.

I love how his answer to "What was your mistake?" wasn't crime, it was the extra steps needed to do crime properly.

3:15 I love how Jimmy drops all the Saul charm because he’s so genuinely irritated by Jesse’s snark lol

I'd trust Saul with my pincode, despite his dirty tactics. Dude knows his stuff, keeps you outta trouble, cleans your cash, holds no moral qualms. The ideal lawyer for a criminal.

“If they can get Capone they can get you.”

Truer words were never spoken.

It's amazing how much younger Bob Odenkirk is here but how much older he makes Saul seem compared to Jimmy in BCS. Quality acting.

These scenes where Walt and Jesse are being told by Saul how to manage their criminal money is one of the sole proof that they wouldn't have gotten as far as they did without Saul (and other people that have actually been in the game and doing their jobs for them).

Bob Odenkirk is so badass, he didn't even use a stuntman for that scene.
Running on tiles with wet feet is extremely dangerous.

this is honestly the best explanation of money laundering, I study law and 2 different teachers have showed us this clip to explain what money laundering is

Saul is legitimately one of the smartest characters in the series. Reminds me of the first time he appears in BB and Jesse says "When the going gets tough, you don't want a criminal lawyer, you want a CRIMINAL lawyer"

At the start I thought Saul is just an extra character that's gonna circle around Walter and Jesse, trying to squeeze a lot of money out of them, being a con man looking for easy money. Then I realized he's way too good for Walter and Jesse.

"You're a tax cheat. And that's far worse then being a criminal."

So very true.

Saul really added a great balance to the show. Comic relief amidst the drama of a drug operation.

after this, I'm convinced to buy that nail salon and I'm not a drug dealer. How good a lawyer this man is, hope he gets his own show one day.
