What I think I've noticed, is that for everyone and pretty much all umps, the outside top corner is not going to be called, whereas just off the bottom outside may be called, especially on right-handed batters. Either the ump is leaning and it distorts their view, or the way catchers frame, it gives the image of being outside if high, and on the corner if low.

Dusty can't blow it when we score like this and the SP pitches a gem. Honestly I think this is what we're gonna have to rely on to win games. Its gonna have to be won by the Starter and by the lineup. Once Lance gets back, and even without him, our Rotation might be the best in the game. Because instead of having a true Ace or two, we have literally 7 SPs who are all B+ to A-. Guys who'd all be #2s behind an "Ace" like Verlander, deGrom, Scherzer, etc, and we get an entire Rotation of that.

Im gonna miss having Javier in the Rotation, and honestly Im not sure why they don't run a 6 man rotation given that Greinke is 40, Odorizzi (in '20) and Lance (TJ in '19) have recent injury history, and Urquidy and Javy are ridiculously young despite it feeling like they've been around for 5 years, but we do desperately need help in the pen and I'll feel a LOT better having Javy and Luis in there to keep guys like Raley and Scrubb (I like Scrubb, but he's gotta go for now. Get him down to SugarLand for a minute) out of the game.

That said, I was pleased that Dusty fucking figured out how to get Enoli back on track. When he came off the IL Dusty threw him right in to the fire his first game and, shocker, he folded like a lawn chair. This time he gets sent down, brought back a day later, and gets to come in with a giant lead so he can pitch in front of the crowd, be all excited, but doesn't have to worry about blowing a close game. Just throw strikes. Do that 1 or 2 more times and his confidence will be back, and I don't even think he needs to be sent down again. Just being dropped for a day did the trick. Same goes for Scrubb. Now hes the one that should be sent down. "Daily Raley" needs to be relegated to cleanup don't give one fuck that he's the only lefty. Matchups don't work when your pitcher can't get the damn outs.
