Asmodee given 400 Million Euro in Huge Cash Infusion!

Will Asmodee use any of this for rebooting X-Wing or Armada? Will they invest in new games? Or stick to safe bets?

They've already reassigned or laid off the employees assigned to the shuttered games. They're not going to revisit them any time soon.

It’s cash intended to balloon the finance sheet to attract investors for when Asmodee becomes its own publicly traded company in March. None of this $$ is going to be invested into product development. If anything, 2025 will see a RIF for the Asmodee line as they work to eliminate what they see as redundant product chains and consolidate more in order to increase profit and dividends payouts.

My friends and I really don't like the new Legion, and have decided to just continue playing the old version. To us, AMG killed all of our favorite games (Armada specifially), but we own all the plastic, and kept hard copies of the old rules, so they can't really take it away from us. We're really happy to just make it all our own now. We don't care what AMG does anymore.

Don’t think this will change much of anything. Given the impending tariff hikes the executives will likely want to hold this cash to make it easier to pay down debt in the long run once margins start to be squeezed.

I cannot imagine the players of x-wing would ever support AMG if they brought back the game. Too much damage to the trust for the players. I hold my nose when I purchase Legion product because I know it helps AMG.

It will be used to buy other publishers of good games. Asmodee is a parasite. But as a shareholder benefit model this is the fastest way to earn.
