I colorized, restored and created a sound design for this video of New York Between 1930s &1940s
a time travel down Riverside Driven, we can clearly see what is happening in broad daylight, Grant's Tomb can be seen on the left and Riverside church on the right.

Video Restoration Process:
✔ FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
✔ Image resolution boosted up to HD
✔ Improved video sharpness and brightness
✔ Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate)
✔added sound only for the ambiance
✔restoration:(stabilisation,denoise,cleand,deblur)

Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data.

Since childhood (in West London, England), I have always felt a 'past-life' connection with the U.S.A. of the 1930s, '40s and '50s; these videos confirm that feeling.

It is good that someone took the time to record these places in time... for a look back in time.

This is so cool! I live near that area. It looks so barren here, that view looking out towards New Jersey on the left is mostly covered by trees now. They just restored Grant's Tomb btw, it looks brand new. Thanks for sharing!

There is no car newer than 1936 so I must assume that is the date of this terrific video. Thanks

I’ve driven the west side highway down hundreds of times. It’s a real treat to see what it looked like in the past,

00:36 Grants Tomb completed in 1897👍 The sound of running cars is more contemporary, but whatever, it was entertaining

No white lines. We take it for granted that ordinary road markings didn't
exist at one time. The History Guy did a video on this.
