Bless you, Andy. Woke up to an email from a newly found cousin who was looking for tips after the WATO tool was giving too many hypotheses. I immediately thought of this tool and have sent the link for this vid to my cousin, who is lucky enough to have access to match numbers for their mother and maternal aunt, thus same generation criteria is definitely met.

Thank you so much for teaching us how to utilize our DNA matches. I have broken through at least two (and maybe three - migraine so brain not functioning very well) brick walls locating ancestors.

Thank you for this video. I think this will be a very helpful tool, especially when comparing my father and uncle's matches. Maybe it will even help me to figure out that mystery Leeds column. Here's hoping!

I have a cousin I’m related to on both sides. 2nd cousin on father’s side and 2nd cousin once removed on mother’s side. My father (her 1st cousin once removed) matches her at 499 cM while I (her double cousin) match her at 476 cM.

My father’s aunt married my mother’s great-uncle long before my parents were even born. It’s pretty interesting.

Finding my close relationships has been easy, but most of my cousin matches are turning out to be 12-14th cousin matches when comparing their tree to mine, so DNA painter doesn't really help me. Yes, there was a huge amount of ancient endogamy.
