Like you just have to make the bottom number match, what if its a problem where multiplying the otherwones by "1" wouldnt actually accomplish that?

Hi. When distributing 6/4(x+1) should I multiply 4 by 1 only or should I multiply 4 by x just as 6 was multiplied by both?
