This video is EXQUISITE. I see you and I both like the Red and White Admirals, as well as Saturniids! The session with the Clearwing Hawk moth and the cup of homemade nectar was adorable.

Growing up, I also had a very soft spot for Blue Hairstreaks and Small American Coppers: their little faces are very cute, and when they settle down for a drink, Hairstreaks rub the outer margins of their hind wings together. It seems like a compulsive satisfied behaviour, like when a cat ‘kneads’ with its paws, or when an octopus curls the tips of its arms and flushes dark immediately after catching lunch.

I have a special love for butterflies!!! Ive always liked them! One day, I was in my backyard, and I saw one close to my flowerbed. I was watching it and all of a sudden, it went to about 2 to 3 inches from the ground and just started gliding without flapping its wings! It done it for about 5 seconds, and it was the most beautiful thing! It looked like it was defying gravity. It was ahuge black and yellow one. That's when I started loving them!!! I want flowers that attract them!
