Can't go back to LG. Most of their phones disappoint me. Not sure if G6 is easier now, unlocked bootloader and good development? Owning a LG G Flex 2 i bought at 400 back in the day heavily dissapoints! No custom roms!!

The oneplus 5 have a AMOLED screen and the G6 have a IPS LCD
So Usually the AMOLED have a deeper black than IPS but not now,
on my computer It seems to me that the G6 has better black not?
Will LG succeed in making an IPS better than AMOLED?

I owned many LG phones in the past and still owning LG G4 and V10. I have to say, LG G6 is better in many aspects except 2 things: performance and display. However, while I can disregard the display as the LG has a really nice display (I prefer AMOLEDs for better color reproduction and true blacks), there's no comparison between the 2 when it comes to the software; this is where LG actually lags behind other competing OEMs. Still the LG builds are not that good, very lousy and inconsistent UIs across the platform, and slow updates to say the least. On the other hand, OnePlus 3T and now the OP5 proved to be one of the fastest Android phones currently available in the market, if not the fastest, thanks to their snappy software which is very close to stock android experience, not to mention the high degree of built in customization options.

OnePlus 5 the main downside is lack of sd and then camera (wide angle is better). better battery, more ram, better cpu and more efficient (around same display area, same battery size but lower pixels, AMOLED, more efficient processor they all mean better battery)

At the same price now, I'm very tempted to go with the G6. You get the futuristic bezeless design and overall a better camera than the OP5, plus water resistance, wireless charging and SD card slot. The OP5 is faster in opening apps (games was where the biggest differences were seen) and the screen does look a bit better despite the G6 having a higher resolution, but RAM management was the same and I don't think you'd be taking a big hit on performance overall.

wow... for an LCD that deep black diplay on LG G6 is really good. Do you still notice some light bleeding??

A very tough decision. Great phones and great budget price for a flagship. Ill go for the design and the camera of the G6. Great video!

How does the one plus 5 look dated. It looks just like every phone out there except it has very thin side bezels.

I went with the oneplus 5 so far it's amazing. Zero lag, no jelly effect(guess it's only on some devices idk), amazing battery life. Seriously the battery life is awesome. I had an s7 edge and when I'm at work I use my phone all the time and after 3 hours(out of 10) My phone would be on 50% with my plus 5 I'm on 70-75% and at the end of my shift I always have at least 20% I am literally on my phone for 10 hours at a time (Security guard) and my phone does not die. I use to carry a power bank but now I don't need to. I can't speak for everyone else but I'm definitely looking this phone more than my s7 edge

OP5 wins every speed test by a good margin of course. And if you're buying the these phones now, in a year how will that G6 hold up in terms of performance?

How do you get that nav bar pixel animation on the G6? I have the G6 but no animation :(

Did you see the animation on the LG G6?
Because i think Op5 brings animation off and G6 i think brings 0x1 or 0x5, check that and remove the animation from G6 and try other test.

The more comparison videos I watch from my OP5, the more I wish it had a better screen to bezel ratio; but I was in a need of a new phone, and it would have been hard to get the G6 knowing the G6+ was around the corner. Oh well, my end goal is to get the Note 8 sometime next year anyways.
