Paul was on his way to Jerusalem finishing his third and final missionary journey. On his way he ported in Tyre and ministered to some disciples there. The Holy Spirit revealed to these disciples that Paul would suffer in Jerusalem and they begged him not to go. Paul continued on to Caesarea and stayed with Phillip the evangelist until Pentacost. While at Phillip’s house Agabus the Prophet showed up and bound himself in Paul’s belt revealing that Paul would be imprisoned and afflicted when he went to Jerusalem. Everyone at the house begged Paul not to go to Jerusalem in fear that he would suffer greatly. Paul declared to them that he was not only willing to suffer, but also die for the will of God. This is why I titled this study, “Not My Will”.
