Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has stated that the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) is not a rollback, but rather a new package. She further explained that the progress of the scheme will be discussed by the GST Council, but no decision will be made in the upcoming meeting. The Finance Minister also mentioned that the GST Council will address rate and slab rationalisation.
