I am born a and raised from SF and moved to LA 6 years ago. I miss the bay more than anything!!! I want to go back so bad. I know there are things happening but it’s home !!
Dutch crunch, sourdough bread.the food etc… easy for all to tear the bay down in the challenging moments . But at 1 point EVERYONE wanted to be there

In dutch we call them Tijgerbol/Tijgerbrood (Tiger bread) due to the pattern of the cracking on the top. You can also apply this technique to your choux/cream puffs if you want to make very crunchy ones

Yes as five billion comments have mentioned, it looks weird because the pattern isn't perfect like usual but homemade things with love often don't come out perfect but taste wonderful all the same

I want to learn more about the Dutch part of my heritage so bad. I've always felt so much more connection to it than my English or German ancestors (probably because the latter came over BEFORE the Mayflower and the Dutch came over after WWI), but I've never really had the opportunity too, so videos like this always make my day 😊

I once accidentally got Dutch crunch bread instead of French bread because the bakery wrap looked very similar. Boy was I in for a surprise! Now I choose the Dutch crunch bread, if it’s available, over any other bread!
