Warlord's Ruin is a shorter, but still just as tough solo experience as some of the previous dungeons we've had. Today, I'll cover how I tackled this place on every class with a mix of both using and not using the seasonal artifact perks available for the season.

Builds/Loadouts - 0:00
First Boss - 7:39
Second Boss - 11:21
Final Boss - 20:02

28:12 For those who don't know, you absolutely can wait for your super before going up to the 3 mini-rock-formations for damage. I waited the 6-7 minutes for mine, just in case things got dicey.

Watching datto whiff hammers and his reaction after is pure comedy gold

Hunters, for final boss I strongly recommend void, devour build, deadfall tether. Be sure to have trappers ambush and vanishing step. Go lucky pants for armour, paired with malfeasance. Rocket in power slot, forebearance in the special.

I tried both arc and solar and could not get this boss down flawlessly. Arc Hunter puts you in a lot of danger, and solar is a real pain for the hex dudes.

Here’s the hard sell reasons on void;

1.) Trappers ambush/Quickfall will take the hex off of you, plus grant invisibility. This is so useful.

2.) Once you have devour procced, it’s unlikely you’ll lose it until after damage phases, keeping uptime on constant heals is a breeze.

3.) Don’t even worry about using heavy for damage, just use malfeasance. Two rockets will destroy the scorn broken knights, any leftover heavy can just be thrown in after you power through illegally modded holster.

4.) Tether will give you an insanely long damage phase up top, as it will connect and kill blight eyes with ease.

I actually used Shards of Galanor for the ogre, basically GUARANTEED two supers per phase, plus you can just super the Barons and you will still always have it back for damage.

For warlock, you honestly can just stay on the Karnstein builds the whole time. The easy restoration makes it less stressful

For the karnstein warlocks:
There is a fragment that gives rift energy on scorching which happens all the time when using DB. If you combine it its basically free rift for every dmg phase

Pro tip at Ogre, move between torches to form a "Z" : this way you add extra distance between you and the boss compared to going for the normal route.

Some other tips :
At ogre for hunters : assassin's cowl and knives to clear Taken eyes very safely and very quickly.
At final boss: if you're hunter, swapping from assassin's cowl to Celestial N few seconds before the damage phase is comfortable and adds a lot of survivability for add clearing and totem capturing phases, instead of running Celestial N thé whole time.
For final stand : don't fight, turn back and move onto the platforms where you fought the boss before, and put on wish ender or any bow for a safe clear. You got all the time you want.

For anybody checking out this video post final shape, the ability to retreat off the final stand platform has been removed and you will have a 5 second kill timer and die. I found this out the hard way and had to restart from the beginning.

Little tip for 2nd encounter: If you're doing the 2-2 orb strat, then I would strongly suggest putting your first two orbs on one side and your last two orbs on the other side. This will allow you to kill the eyes on that side so you don't have to worry about tanking the damage they give on top of everything else.

By the way, if you're having trouble staying alive in the first encounter on titan, I would strongly recommend using Strongholds, a sword (preferably The Lament), and Banner of War. You can literally just hold guard with your sword while standing in the totems to build up your perfect guard stacks, then unleash it all when you enter a damage phase, which will give you 16 seconds of Restoration. That combined with Banner of War and the intrinsic healing capabilities of Lament should keep you very safe during the encounter.

Also this wasn't in the video for solar titans so I'll just point it out: If you lose your hammer or are waiting for it to regen, you are still able to generate sunspots with your uncharged melee if you have Roaring Flames procced. Getting a kill in this manner will also spawn an orb of power regardless of if you have your hammer or not. For those who know this, it'll be a bit obvious, but for those who don't know this, it is a tool that can potentially save a lot of runs, especially if you're running synthoceps.

Dawn Chorus turns dawnblade into an alright dps super, as well as making scorch a ton better. It stacks really well with season artifact stuff. It does also help you get you melee back, and snap is pretty good, so that's neat. You can use the 2x resto nade then use the snap melee and your solar primary to keep it up pretty well with empyrean. This alleviates the problem with sunbracers and killing stuff too fast. Its also just an easier loop, which meant I didn't have to think as much in my run. Thinking is hard. I'd recommend a solar weapon with demo and incandescent, like the battler or no survivors. Also go with healing rift, not phoenix dive. Overall I'd say its a much safer, but less potent option

Tip for warlock on final boss:
Put your well on the 1st floating platform on the 3rd floor damage phase. This lets you have well for both the 3rd floor damage phase and part of the 1st platform damage phase. This also keeps you safe from the psions. If youre using sunbracers, make sure you get a melee kill before the boss fully teleports to the 1st platform since the psions despawn. Also, your snap can ignite the boss and kill an eye, procing sunbracers. You have to get somewhat close, but its not too bad. I recommend doing this for the 1st platform since you should have well to heal back up.

I'm never gonna do this. But one thing that makes me really happy to hear is that Dragons breath is absolutely kicking ass for things. I was really worried that it was gonna be just a gimmick exotic like many are and have been since it's tied to the pass, but it's so great seeing that there's real big uses for it.

Great guide as usual

As a proof of concept i have solo'ed this dungeon with a Arc Vesper of Radius Warlock for all encounters. Only seasonal artifact that was useful was Solo OP and Argent ordnance. I focused more on crowd control with reasonable healing allowing me to voltshot anything in sight without having to think to leave some enemies alive to keep resto up. Only concern really was the fact it made me very static in my rift so it needed more attention to were u are positioning yourself because of the witches and the blights in combination with boss splash dmg on 3rd boss. Used VotD weapon perk on Deliverance fusion to heal a bit during last pillar on 2nd boss, as usually i had no rift by then or enemies to surround me to get it back quick enough. Both 1st and 2nd boss are a 3-4phase with Chaos reach, making sure boss was jolted before casting it and then using Lament for the 1st, Acrius on the 2nd and a slideshot+explosive light rocket for 3rd. Future proof after season ends, as are Karnstein's imo, weapon loadout can be improved using Dragon's Breath on 2nd boss for the stun.
I found sunbracers and/or sunshot to be too effective, especially with Rays of Precision from the artifact, it's like a Michael Bay movie.. explosions everywhere and everything dies, and i kept loosing restox2 at the worse times.

tip for warlocks:
dawn chorus and dragon’s breath is an insanely good combo, especially if paired with embers of singing and empyrean as well as touch of flame; you get x2 restoration when you use a healing nade, which basically lasts forever as long as you kill things.

I always look forward to dungeon seasons because i like doing the solo flawless. Usually takes about 3 or 4 tries but this time it took me 4 days to get it. I don’t really know what was making it so hard but it was freaking hard.

The new linear with enhanced recombination and precision instrument works well since you don’t need to be surrounded and don’t have to waste time on bait and switch but still get a moderately good damage buff

I wonder how many hunters are going to fall victim the now classic blunder of throwing your Gunpowder Gamble at your feet instead of a Healing Grenade.

For the top floor on the final boss, if you strafe either side of a pillar it seems to mess with the enemy AI a bit and the boss and it's eyes will barely shoot at you. It makes DPS up there a ton easier.

Something to take note on the second boss you dont HAVE to go to each plate right away you have a SLIGHT moment to breathe there pick up ammo as you go
