To remove the driver's side bulb ONLY. You'll need a 13mm. Unbolt the fuse box from the fender and then pop the tabs from the fuse box which attaches to the battery box. Flip it out of the way and you can access both bulbs. Passenger side is also accessable without removing anything.

HI Bo, You would need to aim them once installed on the vehicle. The best way to do this is 25' from a flat surface such as a wall or garage door. This will enable you to adjust them so that they line up correctly.

There will be an adjuster on the back of the headlight that you need to turn in order to raise the main beam. If you aim the lights toward a garage door or a wall, you will be able to see the beam raise as you turn the screw. You should be about 25' away from the wall when aiming them.

You may be able to push down on the bumper cover a little bit for more clearence.

@bagorby The headlights have a different design in 2008 on the Dodge Ram. The process to remove them may be similar but might not be exactly the same.

Great video. I'll be trying that this week end. here's a hint on retaining the bolt that's not easy to reach (the one under the assembly). Place the bolt into the socket and then take some painters tape and push the threaded end of the bolt through so the sticky side is towards the extension. Then fold the tape over on the socket. This should hold the bolt in place on the socket till you can get it aligned and started.

Great video, made changing out the set so easy. Those little clips on the outside top I'd never have gotten without this video. Took me about 30 minutes to change out both.

Thanks for a great video. My truck didn't have the third bolt (mine is a 2006), but it really helped me out. I had all the bolts out on mine that I could find, but still couldn't figure out how to get the assembly out. After watching your video, I realized I just needed to give it a quick tug. That did it. Great instruction!  Directional bulb change took about 10 minutes.  Had to go out and buy a 8" socket extension though.  But it was a good investment that will have plenty of future use.

Thanks for the video, it really helped! I only needed to change the headlight bulbs which you're supposed to be able to do simply by unscrewing the plug, which worked fine on the passenger side light, but the driver's side light was a bear. So, I ended up having to take the entire assembly out on that side anyway, which wasn't as bad as I was worried about.
