Welcome back guys
In this video i'll share with you my first impressions of Moscow in June 2023.
It has been 3 years since i was last in Moscow, a city which i loved and felt very proud to have lived in.. and then.. well we all watch the news!

NOTE! - This is not a political vlog, i do not share my opinions on Russian politics or what i think of what is happening.

In this video I just wanted to explore Moscow and see how things had changed in the last few years and see what the vibe was like on the street.

I only had 6 hours to enjoy the city so time was tight as i had a lot i wanted to do! Thank goodness for the small rental scooters!

Hopefully you enjoy this little insight...

I began making this channel as I loved cameras but had no real use for them! So I thought, hey – let’s make videos! So, I am slowly learning the trick of the trade, hopefully improving with every video!

I was in Moscow last may and I can tell I will back any time I am American and of course westerners media and politicians portray Russia as a bad country but hey not all Americans are brainwashed by media. I hope to go back in the future. Greetings from Texas.

I'm a foreigner (from Europe) that have been living here in Moscow since 2017/2018. I have two restaurants here and business is doing great. I don't see any difference in young people walking around....and actually very very few people got mobilized from Moscow. It's pretty well known that most men that are in the Russian Army are from other oblasts and rural areas. Even in Ukraine, when these days men are openly kidnapped when walking down the streets, you can still find tons of young men walking in Kiev since the majority are kidnapped from rural areas or in the Eastern/Southern oblasts. Here in Moscow there was some panic when the partial mobilization was announced last year and many people fled temporarily but they are almost all back. Moreover I don't believe that most people are against this war...the ones that read Western propaganda or Western financed russian propaganda (Meduza, The Insider, Radio Liberty and garbage like that) are, but most people understand very well that the conflict started in 2014 with the US sponsored coup and was further provoked by NATO by rejecting all Russia proposals for a buffer zone in Ukraine. Basically it was either this war now or a major war later on that could have been much worse. Imagine if Russia had military bases in Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela ecc...what the US would have done? Back in 1962 they almost got nuclear because the Soviet Union dared to put some missiles in Cuba. Here we're talking about encircling Russia from all sides and contravening the agreements reached in the past about the NATO expansion towards Russia/Soviet Union. Not to mention the killing of the people in Donbass.

I had a four week vacation in Murmansk, Monchegorsk, and Saint Petersburg. I have to say that the rural people of Murmansk & Monchegorsk were the friendliest people I've met in a very long time, comparing them to the rest of the world. They're very similiar to americans in terms of politeness. And Saint Petersburg is by far the prettiest city I have ever been in, with of course the best Russian food, almost as good as rural homemade food. I would recommend any one to travel in depth to Russia at least once. It is a very eye opening trip, in terms of the people who live there. And just how similar they truly are to the rest of the world, without the filters of the media trying to obscure their absolutely beautiful country. Greetings from Norway

Bro, I'm from Serbia and I was also shocked when I first visited Moscow in 2021. I'm coming again in mid-September 2023. Mainstream media are portraying Russia in such a negative way, while the reality is almost 180 degrees different.

Sunday… quiet? What do you expect? 99% of the citizens are out of towns (in dachas (country houses) or also traveling cause summer is holiday season everywhere (Russia is not exception 😂)

Also “BlackStar Burger” is Russian brand, it can’t leave, doesn’t depend on sanctions

I'm Dutch, thanks for this video, i've always wanted to see Moscow. My mother used to study there in the 80s soviet time and it was much different then. I'm amazed seeing all the changes.

New McDonald's isn't actually that bad. To be honest, when I ate there, I didn't really see much difference. The fries are different in size, but the flavours are the same. That guy was too pessimistic and liberal haha.

Gorky Park is just one of those parks that foreign tourists know. But it is not the biggest and not the best in Moscow.
The largest park, which has entertainment in addition to natural beauty, is considered Izmailovsky, its area is 1, 608 hectares.
But really the largest park in Moscow is Moose Island - 12, 881 hectares. :)

Thank you for the video.
There can't be any winter festivals in July. They were there in winter. And the soul is there. It always there. Russia's been through a lot even for past 100 years. But you can't just take away it's soul. I would say it was in danger at the early 90s when Russia didn't know where they were going, they were lost but now it stands it's ground and defends itself, it's culture, history and it's right to be there despite constant attempts of some other foreign governments to create problems for them intentionally. And even blaming and punishing Russia after that because they didn't surrender without fighting. It means they don't know Russia at all. That's it's soul.

Машины, поливающие воздух, освежают Москву в жару. Это реально помогает. Я как-то ехала за такой на машине в жару 35°С. Люди выбегали с тротуаров под эти струи воды, чтобы охладиться.

Summer is a vacation season … people usually move south to the sea side to enjoy summer days away from busy city life … the same on weekends
