The 60s was the only decade the Beatles were together.

That guitar break was a series of triplet arpeggios by George Harrison - a 1964 flash of musical genius...

I never get tired of hearing this. It's from when I was a really little kid but I've spent decades being a musician and when I listen to these again, like this one just right now, I keep noticing new things about it that I hadn't noticed before my one point early on I was thinking, man, what in the world is structurally creating all this kinetic energy?!

And it's a complex interplay of the drum part and the two guitars, and the amazing bass lines that McCartney came up with, and definitely the way the vocals work.

There is no 70s run of the Beatles, they announced the breakup in 1970

It’s been said that opening chord smashed in the door to the Swingin ‘60s!

I have to agree! ❤

Lennon is singing the verses, and McCartney is singing the chorus, starting with, "When I'm home..."!

It's both Lennon and McCartney singing different parts. They wrote it together so they sing it together. Whoever writes the song sings it, a Beatles rule. Except harmonies of course and some songs written for Ringo to sing. The sound you are hearing I think is George on a twelve string guitar. It's all 60's. The Beatles recording career spanned 7 years in the 60's.

I’ve read that it was a Ringoism that he used to describe his work schedule. John & Paul used it to knock off another numba won.

No one had ever used a cowbell before 😊 the Beatles did it, they were very invited.

The last time the Beatles recorded together was summer 1969 for the album Abbey Road. They released their last album Let it Be in 1970, but it was made up of older recording sessions from early 1969, before the Abbey Road sessions. So yeah, there really is no 1970's Beatles. So I guess what you are really asking is do you like earlier Beatles (63-66) or later Beatles (67-69)?

from 1962 to 1969 the beatles released. 13 studio albums, one of which being a double album, recording over 300 songs. so it's easy to see how someone could be mixed up regarding the decade they broke up .

I like all of what the Beatles created when together in the 60's. And what they each created after there break up. All 4 solo careers up until today.

All The Beatles recordings were done in the 1960's, only solo work after the 60's.

"Beatles" on record were 1962-April, 1970. Next to last LP release was 1969's "Abbey Road".

Lennon wrote, and sings lead in this song. There is part sung by Paul, which would be a bit he wrote: "When I'm home . . . feeling you holding me tight!"

Both John and Paul are singing lead. Just at different times of the song. Paul is singing the lead at the part where it starts with: "When I'm Home everything seems to be right . . ."

There are two versions of the Beatles. Pre-Dylan and post-Dylan. Both existed in the 60s. (Dylan introduced them to the devil's lettuce and their creativity exploded afterward)

I think John and Paul wrote it in one day.
