This physics video tutorial explains how to calculate the energy density of a capacitor as well as the energy density of an electric field. it explains how to derive the energy density formula for a capacitor using the potential energy equation for a capacitor, the capacitance equation, and the volume formula of a capacitor. This tutorial contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Voltage is 9 yet you used 12 in the calculation

Although you did the derivation correctly, you should be careful with the variable V in your derivation. Probably defining volume as V and voltage by some other variable than V.

Good conceptually; but you flip flopped between your problem's stated 12 V and 9 V.

But how come is 18000 when I put 9÷0.5×10^_3 I get 0.18
