Maine Coon Albus Growing Up (13 Weeks - 1 Year)

Albus is our first male Maine Coon and we love him to pieces. He is big and may look fierce, but he is a sensitive sweetheart with a sweet voice. We hope you guys enjoy this video of him growing up from the time we brought him home. And for size reference, my husband is 6'1". I love it how in the first few months he is looking at the camera like "wtf is happening? Why am I being held like this and what are you, machine?“ and in the other months he is just looking like "oh, so it is that time of the month again... fine, do your thing already"

My uncle had a wonderfully loyal Main Coon named Mister. My uncle has some serious health problems and is occasionally bedridden for a few days at a time. Mister would sit beside him, refusing to leave except to eat and use the litter box. Mr passed away suddenly about 8 years ago and my uncle was understandably distraught. One day when he was missing his buddy particularly badly, he heard a noise on his porch. Opening the door to see what it was, a black kitten, a few months old sauntered passed him into his place, casually meowed at him and made itself at home like, 'Sup, when's dinner?'. He asked around but no one in the neighborhood had a cat with kittens, nor had they seen any strays lately. To this day no one knows where the little black kitten came from. It simply showed up and decided he lived there now. The little guy is 8 years old now.

From a little ball of fluff it has been interesting to see how much he has changed, especially how his tail became very fluffed out at age 7 months, Albus is now a very handsome young man
