In croatia, they are commonly used, they are slowly changing to PEX because you can bend it easily and they are connected with press, so no heat, no 90 degree angles and that stuff required. OFC most plumbers still preffer this kind because they have tools for it, but pex is mostly installed in new construction

PPR isn't used in America, we have copper or PEX plastic pipes. PEX and PPR are functionally the same, lot cheaper and faster than soldered copper. I saw PPR pipes in Africa and they're a lot stronger than PEX.

I'm no plumber, but I have used a garden hose before, and that experience is telling me that I need to see what's going on with that recessed intersection a bit more before I can decide if I think this is cool or not.

We use pex where i am from to help with the extreme cold. For reference, i live on the summit to the Rocky Mountains, i have seen temps well below -20 on a good day, no blizzard. We only use pex because it expands and contracts with the ice instead of becoming brittle in the cold and rupturing like pvc.

I moved to Romania and replumbed our entire house in PPR.

Recently did a filter add on where I couldn’t be bothered to raise the pipe high enough so the weld is at an angle and it’s welded solid with no leaks.

People bashing PPR have never used it and are still singing praises of lead pipes

Any maintenance plumber will tell you that stuff is fragile. Perhaps not thermally but with movement and vibration they're horrific.

I go to a school for engineering and we also have a bit of plumbing and it is not as wasy as it looks. It takes a bunch of practics to do it this fast and precise.

As long as it works, I don't see the problem.
Sure it might not be what someone is used to, but standards and regulations are different everywhere.

This pipe/joint system does make me curious how well it hold together as you'd normally think welding is just metal, and how the pipes just being pushed together without anything else to seal it might leak. But welding is just joining two pieces of the same material with the same or very similar material, and a press fit with hot plastic does seam like it'll hold the amount of pressure used for sinks and similar areas

I will admit i know nothing about plumbing materials, however I really do like how they cut into the building and placed the pipes inside of the cinder blocks or cement bricks whatever the material is, looks very neat and clean!!!! Who ever cut out the pattern for the plumber ( or maybe the plumber himself did the work) did a fantastic job !!! Kept it nice and clean no over cutting and made sure it was deep enough all the way through the entire line so some parts ARE NOT STICKING OUT OR SET BACK TOO FAR!!

Per or pex works great. Easy to install. Copper is not to bad to install, and the copper kills alot of germs! Ever wonder why handrails and door handles in older hospitals are copper?

We don’t use that here in the states but that work is clean my friend
