Baroness Warsi: Islamophobia Is 'Dangerously Out-Of-Control'

Baroness Warsi is warning Islamophobia is 'dangerously out-of-control' and that that the 'poisoning of the public discourse has been done by serious senior people in positions of power'. She tells Ed and Kate that she is still a member of the Conservative Party, but she has relinquished her whip in order to deal with a complain in an 'open and transparent way'.

People shouldn’t hate individual Muslims but Islam is an ideology that should be criticised just as any other political ideology can be. Islam isn’t a race.. it’s a belief system. It’s not racist to be afraid of communism or fascism- these are also examples of belief systems.

The problem is she completely glossed over the hundreds of problems that are happening in her community as a result of her religion including the grooming gangs. It wouldn't be so bad if they were all like her, but she knows full well that a very large percentage of them are clearly not. She's clearly being very disingenuous.

Warsi talks about an inclusive society but makes no mention of the teacher from Batley Grammar School who is still in hiding, along with his family, after upsetting Muslim extremists. Not much tolerance there.
